Administration
The Town Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of the Town, provides policy recommendations to the Board of Selectmen, appoints most department heads, supervises the activities of municipal departments, prepares the annual budget and capital improvement plan, and manages the business and administrative affairs of the Town.

Adult Social Center (Senior Center)
The Senior Center offers activities such as the Sunshine Club, walking club, exercise programs, needle working, painting, and tai chi. Learn more about these and other programs.

Assessor
The Assessors’ office is committed to maintaining an assessment system that develops fair and equitable values for all classes of property and is required by Massachusetts law to list and value all real and personal property within the town.

Building Department
The Building Department is responsible for all residential and commercial permits that are submitted including but not limited to electric, gas, plumbing, and sheet metal/mechanical for all projects requiring duct work.

Community Development
The Community Development Department provides assistance to project applicants in navigating thru the state and local permitting processes by assisting them with the understanding of which permits may be needed for particular projects and with the interpretation of regulations.

Finance Department
The Finance Office is responsible for record keeping and processing of all bills, warrants, receipts, payroll and ledgers as well as supplies departments with financial reports and payroll information.

Fire Department
The Fire Department provides fire suppression, rescue services, public education, and advanced emergency medical care safely and promptly to our community.

Highway Department
The Highway Department maintains over 130 miles of roadway, including paving, plowing, sanding, drainage, cutting brush, signage, road lines, crosswalks and repairs.

Town Clerk
The Town Clerk’s Office serves as the Town of Douglas’ keeper of all vital records as well as records related to elections town meetings, voters information, population information, animal licensing, campaign finance, street lists, town bylaws, business certificates, road layouts and descriptions, town accepted streets, and more.

The Town of Douglas and Uxbridge share a Veteran's Director. The Veteran's Office is in Uxbridge.
