Chief Nick L. Miglionico is pleased to inform you that on June 4^th, 2020 the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission voted to award Accreditation to the Douglas Police Department. Accreditation is a self-initiated process by which police agencies voluntarily strive to meet and maintain standards that have been established for the profession by the profession. The Mission of the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission is to: ensure that the delivery of police services within the Commonwealth is at the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Regarding Cedar Street
Please disregard any private signs in the vicinity of Cedar Street indicating that the street is (or will be) closed. This matter was recently in litigation. The court recently ruled that Cedar Street is a public way and therefore will remain open for public travel.
