The responsibility of the tree warden is to oversee the maintenance and or removal of public shade trees, protecting the trees and protecting the public from any hazardous trees.

April 22, 2020

Recently the Douglas Tree Warden granted permission to National Grid to prune or remove public shade trees within the town.  Below is a PDF of the approval along with the complete list of trees.

In observance of Arbor Day, National Grid generously donated two Maple Trees to the Town of Douglas.  These trees were planted on the Veteran's Square across from the Municipal Center.
